My name is Rocky Cagno, I raced motocross my whole life. Traveling all of the east coast, I grew up in East Brunswick, New Jersey where our shop is still currently located. I always loved woodworking ever since I was young just like being on the bike. I had a hammer in my hand at the age of 2. I grew up around the construction scene as my dad ran a business doing remodeling as he still does to this day called Brunswick remodeling and contracting located in East Brunswick New Jersey. So as I was racing motocross from a young age still to this day being 23 years old. I went to vocational school for high school and took machine shop for metal working. And got a job working in that field while still racing. I learned a lot of metal working skills as far as making a pharmaceutical grade pieces of machinery within a tolerance of 0.0001 of a inch. And also picking up how to tig weld with multiple metals and mig weld. Then I left that job on good terms to go do something else and that was to work for my father. So I stared installing tile in bathrooms kitchen backsplashes, fireplaces etc. Then I started installing kitchens and vanities then that turned into making some custom cabinetry that the cabinet factories couldn't do. And when I was doing that that’s what got me interested in the fine woodworking and that’s what brought me into building dressers , vanities, bed frames, china cabinets, tree halls, vanities, full bedroom sets, media consuls, media credenzas, daybeds, full custom build ins. This business was started cause of my passion for wood working and also cause I wasn’t going to spend $1,000 on a dresser that was made out of particle board and fake wood. Which felt like plastic with a big sticker on it to make it look like real wood. So I went home got to building made a solid wood dresser that would suit what I needed and that would last the abuse of my fiancé Taylor stuffing as much clothes as she can inside. So I make sure that all products that come out of the 532 woodworking & design shop are made perfect and strong as they possibly can be so they can last years of abuse and can be handed down for generations. That is the 532 way. Look forward to seeing want to make next with us!
